Lots of embossing!

It's been quite busy round here lately - towards the end of July was my best friend from school's wedding, at which I was a bridesmaid, so lots of things to sort out for that.
Straight after that Mum & Dad went to Mexico for two weeks, and I started a locum job for two weeks so everything was quite manic (work, looking after the two dogs and trying to water all the outdoor plants in that little heatwave we had).
So I have made a few cards, but not had time to post them!
Here's the card I made for Rach's hen party (yes, I sent her an invite to her own hen party as she wanted a surprise...)

Supplies:
Image: Bay tree from the "Born To Shop" Go Green stamp set, coloured with Promarkers. The embossed stamps are from a Laura Ashley stamp set.
Tools: Heat gun, copper embossing powder, nesties deckled rectangles.

Challenges:

Tilda Bookmark & Fancy Fold card

Here's a diagonal double pocket card made from a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial.

I've used G.C.D Studios Cloisonne double sided paper to make the actual pocket card. The gardening image on the front is from Beccy's Place  - she has loads of lovely digis to play with! I've coloured with Promarkers, and added "60" in peel-off number to the tea-cup as the card is for my friend's mum's 60th!

In the top pocket of the card I have placed a bookmark, made using gold cardstock, and Tilda with Wedding Gifts, coloured with Promarkers (to match the paper). I printed the sentiment off from Word!! I've added a ribbon and totally forgot to put an eyeley around the hole!! (Too many other things going on at home)!

A Gem of a Challenge - No 8

Here's a really girly card I've made using "Sprinkles" the fairy from Pink Gem. She's coloured using Whispers (in the days before my Promarkers).
The spotted paper is from My Mind's Eye Summer paper pack and the sentiment is from a Flower Fairies Dufex decoupage sheet. I've used my NEW Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to cut the flower, embellished with a gem, and there's a couple of punched stars. I've covered everything in Glamour dust as usual, oh and inked around the edge of the paper!

All About the Flowers!

Here's a flowery card for my "Aunty" Maureen's spring birthday!

The paper is from Papermania, and I've added some Sizzix die-cut flowers, along with small and larger punched flowers, with gems. The yellow paper (apart from the main card edge) is all from Post-It notes! (They were handily the right size for the topper and the flowers)!! Random but cheap! The peel-off are from a new sheet I bought last week - more readable and "funky" than some of my older ones.

Well, we normally have a card from me and a card from the menagerie (sorry, I mean fur-babies), so here is a second card for Mother's Day. I can't decide which I like more....?

The cute digi image is "Special Delivery" from Karensdoodles, which I've coloured with Whispers pens. I've used text paper from DCWV Text Prints paper stack, and the green flowery paper is from Daisy & Dandelion Picnic Patch collection. I've die-cut the words with my Night & Day Sizzix alphabet. Here's the card I've made my Mum (seems most cards have been for her recently - Christmas, Birthday, Valentine's Day...)

The paper is a free download from Cuddly Buddly - love the colours! Flowers & ribbon from Papermania Sunshine Capsule Collection, with glitter brads & buttons. The sentiment is from an old Let's Make Cards pack.

Especially For You!!

I decided to have a go at a double stepper fold card I found the template for at The Paper Craft Tutor - FAB website with brilliant instructions on loads of different types of card!

Now, I love cardmaking and each card I make is different, no repeats and there are always some you like and some you're not so keen on.... BUT - I think this has to be my most favourite card of all the cards I've ever made. I'm a bit sad not to have a Valentine to send it to, but happy that I may keep it til the day I do!
I used the cute bunny freebie from the Digi Shack that I downloaded last year, but just re-discovered - coloured with Whispers. The backing paper is from DCWV Scrapbook kit in a stack (also used for the lettering). I've punching some hearts out of pink & polka dot paper & flowers, decorated with pearl gems. The hearts are Sizzix die-cuts. And of course some Glamour Dust (love that glitter)!

Making a Come-back with a combined challenge!

Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge #15 - A Birthday Card
