Mum's been asking me to make her some hair slides for AGES, and I have now done two different ones (although keep trying to distract her so that it's a surprise for Mother's Day)! Good Luck in Green!

Well, it's St. Patrick's Day tomorrow. Lliving near Cheltenham, home of the Gold Cup (aka Cheltenham Festival) I know there will be a lot of Guiness-drinking leprechauns around! Was hoping to go to the races myself, but didn't get around to finding a ticket in time, so I suppose I'll just watch it on the tv. I thought this card was perfect to celebrate!

Supplies:
Images: "Good Luck Frame" from Create with TLC (printed over the paper)
Paper: The green shamrock paper is from a Papercraft Inspirations download.
Embellishments: Chipboard shamrock, inked green & decorated with gems.

Penny Black Springtime!

I'm back and crafting again after my shoulder surgery - it went well, the physio's really pleased and I just have to wait til next Monday to find out when the surgeon will do the left shoulder, and go from there! I've actually quite enjoyed the time to do a bit of blog-hopping and seeing what everyone else has been up to!

Here's a Spring-themed card using Penny Black's "Seeing your face" image of the cute little hedgehog with a daffodil! I've coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are new - they are from the Papermania Lemon Sorbet Capsule Collection (as are the spotted mini buttons), the ribbon/bow are from the Sunshine collection - all things from DoCrafts goody bags! My favourite effect at the moment is to ink around the edge of the page to make it stand out a little bit more! The sentiment is from Forever Friends Springtime die-cut greetings pack.

They are having a great Blog Hop over at Papertake Weekly to celebrate their 3rd Birthday! The challenge for this week is to choose a challenge from the last 3yrs....ANY challenge!

I've chosen "New Beginnings" from 5th Jan 2010 as I have a very good friend who has FINALLY moved into a new house with her fiance after a lot of waiting for the previous owner to get out!

The image is a digi stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil, called "Home Tweet Home", coloured with Promarkers. I've used brown spotted paper from a Daisy & Dandelion paper pack, and my Nellie Snellen multiframe circles.

Challenges I'm entering:

Vintage Man!

Here's a card I made for my football-loving cousin.

I've used some Papermania basics stripy paper, and the image is from the DoCrafts Creativity CD from a few issues ago. It says "Vintage" on the back of his jacket so perfect for the Ooh La La Challenge! I've folded the edge of the card for a different look, and used blue brads to hold it down (and DST as it was flapping a bit). Peel off to finish!

Fishy Fishy!

This is a card I just made for my Aunty's partner, who is apparently into fishing (says Mum):

I've used 2 types of paper from the Dovecraft Masculine range, along with some glitter stripes (DST + Glamour dust), and a rub-on sentiment on a Sizzix bookplate, on a nestie die cut! I've no idea where my mum got the fish from, but I pinched it!

Especially For You!!

I decided to have a go at a double stepper fold card I found the template for at The Paper Craft Tutor - FAB website with brilliant instructions on loads of different types of card!

Now, I love cardmaking and each card I make is different, no repeats and there are always some you like and some you're not so keen on.... BUT - I think this has to be my most favourite card of all the cards I've ever made. I'm a bit sad not to have a Valentine to send it to, but happy that I may keep it til the day I do!
I used the cute bunny freebie from the Digi Shack that I downloaded last year, but just re-discovered - coloured with Whispers. The backing paper is from DCWV Scrapbook kit in a stack (also used for the lettering). I've punching some hearts out of pink & polka dot paper & flowers, decorated with pearl gems. The hearts are Sizzix die-cuts. And of course some Glamour Dust (love that glitter)!
