Tilda Gift Bag for my friend!

I found this template on Wendy's blog this morning and it's just what I needed for my friend Sarah's birthday present (jewellery that I haven't made yet, but I know what I want)!

I've used some more of the Henbury Lane flowered paper, as well as some polkadot paper from a magazine freebie. The image is one from the new wedding collection of Magnolia's. I think she's called "Sitting bridesmaid" - I think weddings are my new favourite thing - after going to one in  May & one in June I'm a bit sad to not have any more to go to this year (unless anyone suddenly decides to get engaged)!
I've coloured Tilda with my Promarkers, and added some lovely flowers around the edge (love roses too!)

Challenges I'm entering:
Just Magnolia #60 - In the garden
Moving Along With The Times #52 - Birthday but not a card
Passion for Promarkers #57 - Your Favourite Things
ABC Challenge = X for Extra Dimension
Totally Gorjuss #35 - Sugar & Spice
Paper Sundaes #23 - Pretty as a Princess

Happy Anniversary!

Got a bit carried with the gems on this next one... few I added a few on the hearts, then I added a few more along the bottom border, and now they're all over!

I've used some flower paper from the new Henbury Lane collection, and the stamp is also from their new range, coloured with Promarkers. There's an XCut heart border strip at the bottom, (with the little hearts from the punchings stuck at the bottom). Think that punch is my new favourite - it's so easy to line up/use and it's perfect every time!

Summertime!

I made a girly birthday card for a sun-worshipping friend:

It's an Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm coloured with my Promarkers! I've used some Papermania circle paper, some spotted pink paper from a magazine freebie, and a strip of yellow card punched with the XCut heart border punch. There's a Papermania Capsule collection flower & button & the pink is one of Mum's old silk flowers (it fell off the arrangement!!).

Challenges I'm entering:
Donna's Den #1 - Happy Birthday
Allsorts #56 - Lace or buttons

A new birdhouse for Grandad!

Well, I had intended to make this to enter into the Dutch Dare Challenge (as this is where the birdhouse template came from - go and have a look) after seeing the wonderful cards they'd made, but work has been crazy the last couple of days, and I just haven't really had the brainpower to finish it in time, but here it is anyway:
My first card for ages with no stamped image/Promarkers! I've used striped paper from the Papermania Secret Garden paper pack, and the little birds are chipboard toppers from a magazine freebie. Just added some silk ivy, and a load of Shamrock Green Flowersoft (moss) to go with the peel-off that I coloured green!

Uplifting Occasion!

Another new Penny Black card from me (finally got around to doing something with my images I'd coloured in)! It's a proper girly card, and if you look at the word under the picture you'll see the title of one of the best girl's night out tunes by Cyndi Lauper!! (And there's another song lyric above the image, but not one I'd expect to hear on a night out!)
The image is called "Uplifting Occasion" which I love!! Such a funny picture and I've coloured it with my Promarkers:

I've used five different papers overall (that must be a record for me)! The bottom layer of polkadot paper came with a Forever Friends decoupage kit, the butterfly/floral is Dovecraft Glamour pack, the text paper is DCWV Text Prints paper stack, and the pink paper on the base card is Papermania Sweet Nothings, and the grey piece is Dovecraft Charcoal Prints. I used the Xcut heart border punch to made the propping-up doodah on the base card. I've made the wire word myself as it's for one of my closest friends from school. Then just a few heart/star gems and a peel-off to finish.

Fish are Jumpin....

Here's a Penny Black card for my cousin's son, who like to go fishing with my Uncle:

I've used the PB image "Fish are jumping", coloured with Promarkers.
The fishing paper is from Dovecraft's Masculine paper pack (as is the spotted strip on the left). I've used our MS scallop punch to layer two pieces of card. Then just a nestie scallop circle with number 11 in the middle!

DADDY DON'T LOOK!!!

I'll do all the chatting at the top of this post, so that if Dad's having a snoop on my blog (he does that, you know), he'll realise NOT TO LOOK at this card - it's my card to him for Father's Day!
I've used a House Mouse image called "With all my heart" to fit in with their latest Sweets challenge, coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment was from Charmed Cards & Crafts - I thought it was perfect for a Father's Day card. Both the stripy & spotted blue & white paper are from Papermania's Henbury Lane collection, with the spotted paper backed onto a strip of card punch with the MS scallop punch. I added a ribbon, 3 brads & a peel off to embellish!

So, here's the picture - last chance to look away DAD!!!

And a close up of the image:

Bee Happy!

I've had this cute bee (a freebie ages ago from Dustin Pike) coloured up for a while and just had an urge to make a card with him as it was raining yesterday!
I actually coloured him using Whispers pens (in the days before my Promarkers). The spotty paper is from the new Papermania Henbury Lane collection (it's actually sparkly but doesn't show up on the photo). Then I used an MS punch to scallop some blue shiny card I recycled from an advertising booklet! Added some yellow ribbon & a peel-off sentiment!

WOYWW - Sorry it's been a while!

Well, I've finally managed to get my photos done on the day, whilst actually doing something crafty - I will be off to do the ironing later on though, so thought I'd better post this now!
The tangled mess of what looks like brown string is actually a belt Mum has kindly donated to me as it has some lovely beads on it, and she doesn't use it so thought I could recycle them!! I'll recycle the whole lot!!

I get asked what the Stork box is for so I thought I'd give you a little close-up of my mini-rubbish bin!!
As you can see I've been doing a bit of colouring (with the new Promarkers of course), and a bit of stencilling with the thin side of the Whispers brush markers (the butterfly on the bottom right) - I'd never thought of it til Mum showed me what she'd done after reading in the Creativity magazine about all things to do with stencils!

Hope you're all well, and that you will pop over to Julia's blog to see what everyone else has been up to!

Pretty Fairy!

Mum bought me a pack of the Dufex Flower Fairies shimmer card blanks for my birthday, and I hadn't really got round to trying them til now - this is just an A6 piece from the A4 sheet - I love the foily flowers down the side, and the sentiments are cute! I used one of Sliekje's fairies, coloured with my Promarkers. I've done some punching with the XCut heart border punch, and a little heart punch. There's some new lace with little pink flowers in, and some pink heart gems. Busy busy!!

Challenges I'm entering:
Paperplay #22 - Flowers & sparkle

A day at the races...

I had a look on the Cardmaking and Papercraft website and saw that they had a challenge to make a card celebrating Royal Ascot. I had this Dufex mare & foal pyrimage waiting patiently to be used, so here it is....
The green patterned paper is from the Papermania capsule collection, as is the little bow. I used some circular Glitterations stickers to outline my sentiments.

A Birdwatching card for Grandad!

Here's the card I just made for Grandad's Birthday - he has dementia, but still enjoys watching the birds out of the window, so I thought I'd make use of this Toodles & Binks stamp I won AGES ago, coloured in with my Promarkers!! I've used word paper from a Polka Doodles CD-Rom, and just added a few eyelets, a peel-off and a couple of flowers!
