Henbury Lane Collection Card!

We (Mum & I) went to a Docrafts demo at The Range in Cheltenham last Saturday, and couldn't resist buying the new goody bag!! It's full of the new Henbury Lane collection and other fab things!

The image is one of the new Henbury Lane stamps, coloured with Promarkers. The lovely flowery paper is also Henbury Lane (the stripy paper is from a magazine paper pack ages ago).
The lovely heart punch is a new one from Docraft's XCut (not in the goody bag but couldn't resist that either).

House Mouse Farewell

This week's challenge at House Mouse Challenge is Goodbye/Farewell. They are also having a blog hop!
This is my first entry to the challenge, using a stamped image I received in a blog candy. (Just found out from the website that it's called "Gentle Rain").

I thought this was the perfect sort of image for a fareweel as the poor little chap looks a bit miserable being dripped on! I've used my new Promarkers again (Love them!) It also gave me a chance to use a daffodil button I received in another blog candy. The yellow/orange paper is from Papermania Capsule Collection (as is the green bow). I used our Martha Stewart scallop punch on the top edge of the card, and XCut corner punch on the designer paper/image. Then just a little bit of yellow ribbon and a peel-off sentiment.

Sophisticats #32 - Splish Splash
Secret Crafter Saturday #85 - Buttons & Blooms

World of Nonsense!

I've finally gotten around to using this fantastic Alice in Wonderland word art from Paulette at Create-with-TLC. The card is for my friend Fiona from school, who actually bought me the Disney film on DVD for my 21st Birthday! It was always a little bit of a running joke at school that we loved the film!!

I found the image of Alice from Dezina World and coloured her with Whispers pens (ages ago - before my Promarkers). The paper is from a Daisy & Dandelion pack. I made the wire word myself, and I've added some flowers (2 paper from Papermania, & 1 fabric), pearl brads for the centres. On the yellow flower I've added some gems!

Another Forever Friends Wedding card!

My Aunty is getting married 2 weeks tomorrow, and here's the card I have made for them:

As they've been together for ages I decided not to go for a proper "bride and groom" picture, but instead the celebrating bears! The rose paper & sentiment are also from the FF kit (as are the little roses I've cut out - they were around the decoupage die sheet). Then I've just added some heart embellishments with gems on, and a ribbon attached by a heart ribbon brad thingy!! Oh, and it's another diamond top card - I love them!
Really excited about the wedding now (seems to be the season for it), especially as Mum and I are going up a day early to take the cake that Mum has made - I'll put pics on at some point as it is BEAUTIFUL!!

A card from Foxy!

This little digi image from Sliekje looks just like my little dog!! He just looks so funny with the rose in his mouth (like when he brings me toys to play with).
I've used my Promarkers to colour him in, and the rose paper is from a Forever Friends decoupage set! The rub-on sentiment is one I've had in the drawer for AGES but never actually used, as are the little gems (I normally use round ones).

Here is the first card I've made using my lovely blog candy from Jacque! The images are from the Flowersoft Moments in Time "Best Friends" set - have a look at the blog hop for more samples!

It's also the first diamond top card I have attempted - I am quite pleased that it stands up! The images are all coloured with Promarkers, and I've added some flowersoft to the main image around the grass and on the teddy bear!!

My first Sugar Nellie card!

My lovely Mum bought me the "Daisy" Sugar Nellie stamp for my birthday, and this is the first card I've made with it!!

I coloured the image using my Promarkers, and used some downloaded purple flowery paper from Cuddly Buddly for the background. The yellow ribbon, photo brad thingy and green flowers are all from the Papermania Capsule collections. I've just added some little brads for the flower centres. Apologies for the dog hair in the middle of the card - he gets everywhere!

Happy Couple!

I thought I'd put up a few photos from my special friend Sophie's wedding at the weekend. I was bridesmaid, along with her younger sister and we all had a fabulous day!

Postal Theme for Quirky Crafts

I found this cute Penny Black stamped image from a RAK, and thought it would suit a thank you card! I think it's called "Team Effort"!

I've coloured the image using my new Promarkers!! (Woohoo) The two designer papers were free with magazines, and the ribbon is from Hobbycraft. I added three punched flowers, with gems and three dots of pearlescent glue at the bottom.

Passion for Promarkers - Gratitude

Another card made using an image coloured with my new Promarkers!! The stamp is from Papermania's Stamping Chic-Party set (which I won from Katrina in her blog candy a while back).
The green paper is from Papermania's Capsule Collection,, as is the bow. I've used a Sakura Souffle pen to write "Thank You" on the little sentiment topper.

Tilda in Pink!

Another stamp coloured with my new Promarkers (I have Lilac, Pastel Pink, Dusky Pink and Apple so far).

I've used 2 papers - the one Tilda is on is from my Forever Friends decoupage pack, and the other is from the Dovecraft Glamour prints pack, with its lovely butterflies and flowers. I scalloped the edge using a Martha Stewart punch. The wire "Sarah" was made by yours truly, and the sentiment is a rub-on from somewhere! Then just a Papermania flower, a brad and a stripe of glitter.

Sir Stampalot #2 - Butterflies & Blossoms
Die Cut Dreams #46 - Tilda in Pink
Creative Craft #12 - Blooming Marvellous

New spiral weave bracelet!

Here's something non-papercraft that I made for my Aunty - still learning the techniques, but I think it turned out ok!

Thank You!

Here's a little thank you card I made yesterday.
The image is "Girl with Dog" from Wild Rose Studio that my Mum bought me on Thursday for my Birthday when we went to Bee Crafty in Evesham. It is coloured with Promarkers (Mum bought me 4 on Thursday and we've ordered 2 packs of 5 from Joanna Sheen!!) The green check paper is from Papermania Capsule Collection and the purple flowery paper is a download from Cuddly Buddly. I've added a bit of Flowersoft along the paper joins!

Wedding Celebration!

I made this card using one of the Forever Friends decoupage toppers you saw me assembling on WOYWW! (By the way, these are all pre-cut decoupage so no fiddling cutting out - sorry to disappoint)!
I've used the heart paper that came with the pack, and then just used my nestie/sizzix dies for layering, then some peel-offs to add the date! I also decorated the inside - red paper and some wedding bell peel-offs.

The card is for my friend who is getting married on Saturday, and I am a bridesmaid. Hopefully I will have got myself together by then and feel a bit more like celebrating after this weekend's sad events.

More sad news...

My lovely cat Charlie died on Friday night at midnight. To cut a long story short, he hadn't been right since we lost Jessica - they'd been together nearly 15yrs (she was 19yrs in Feb and he would have been 15yrs in June). I don't know if maybe he wanted to be with her and decided that the time had come, or whether his kidneys had gradually been packing up and finally shut down altogether. Whatever the reason, nothing I did seemed to make any difference and the only consolation I have is that I was with him at the end, and he is now buried in the garden next to my beautiful baby girl. Just doesn't seem real that both have gone so close together, but I know it does happen.

Here he is a few years ago:
